Origin Coffee - Pure coffee indulgence
Impressions
Origin Coffee is to my mind one of the must-go's for coffee drinkers when you are in Johannesburg. It is both a café as well as a coffee roastery selling coffee to multiple restaurants, hotels and other locations in South Africa. Origin Coffee is also offering Barista courses in the frame of its Barista Academy.
The coffee is in fact excellent and surely the best I have had during my trip in South Africa.
The café itself is a chill place, in the trendy Maboneng neighbourhood. It is all about coffee and coffee roasting.
You will not find much more than coffee on the menu so it is rather not a place for taking a longer break or going for lunch. The interior and concept of the café is rather clean and simple. But for a short stop and one of the best coffees it is definitely worth to check it out.

Taste
The taste of the cappuccino was excellent. The texture of the milk as well as the creaminess of the espresso were very good. The espresso used was of strong taste, some acidity and intense flavor. There is a variety of single origin coffees offered at the café. You can get more information on the type of beans if you ask.
Atmosphere
The atmosphere of the café is simple and clean, the interior is mostly of wooden nature. There are only few seating places available and it seems like most people take the coffee to go instead of sitting down. The staff was relatively friendly.
Value
The price of the coffee is fair given the quality of the coffee drinks and self roasted beans.
The coffee place could generally offer some additional drink or food options to my mind.
